Default managing the money- any ideas?

I'm working through the LEA (who pay a month in arrears), an agency, (which pay a week in arrears) and another agency which pay on the 10th of every month in arrears. Basically I'm trying to work out when the 'difficult' times are going to be for money etc. Ofcourse having only 12 days which you can work in in December is going to cause problems in January- but what I'm thinking of doing is taking a % cut out of my pay and stick it into a savings account to cover holidays.

What % should I take out as holiday pay?

Does anyone have any good ways/ tips for managing their income?

You can possibly teach for roughly 39/52 weeks, which is 75%, so I'd take out 25% if you can. Does that make sense?

As for managing your income... my life-long rule: don't spend on a credit card - if you can't afford it this month, what makes you think you'll be able to afford it next month?

Would you like me to check your covering letter, CV, supporting statement or application form?
