I'm new to supply teaching and will be teaching a year 4 class for one day only next week. Already taught them this once thisweek with some quite challenging and disruptive behaviour which I was able to deal with but I need some classroom incentives or consequences. As am not likely to teach them again I need some kind of reward or consequence system which will work in a last lesson of the week as I cannot keep children in break etc as a negative consequence.

face done with big black spraycan pen effect.)
1, 2, 3 and out (1st verbal warning, 2nd note to normal class teacher, 3rd out to another (agree beforehand with another member of staff) classroom/headteacher)
Star(s) of the day certificate to be left for teacher to see, name goes on when caught being good 3 times.
Refer to their teacher and/or headteacher by name, if they think you're pally, more likely to be good.
Be clear in your expectations for the day. Have a look through their books before they work in them to see what standard they usually work at and don't expect less.
Learn their names, lots of respect for this and makes the day much easier.

Hope that helps!
