Would you like me to check your covering letter, CV, supporting statement or application form?

Default Great service

Capita served me well. They paid top whack, fed me loads of work and always had the money into my bank account on time.

I only ever had one day in an 'easy' school from them. And when I went to the office to get my time sheet signed, the Assistant Bursar said "Oh, you are from Capita. We don't have anybody from there very often. They are so expensive."

So I guess Capita is 'the agency of last resort', and so gets its bookings mainly from the roughest, toughest schools that lower-paying agencies haven't anybody willing to go to them. Correct me if I am wrong.

Default Payment

It could well be that some LEAs get Capita to do their Supply payments.

When Capita placed me, I got paid on the MainScale in West Yorkshire, but a few pounds less in Hertfordshire.
Provided you get your week's timesheet to them by the Tuesday morning your pay is in the bank when you wake up on the Friday. Brilliant.

Out of interest, does anyone use more than one agency ... and what are the pros and cons?

I have contacted schools directly and get some work from that but also joined an agency (local to my area) who haven't got me any work yet (it's only been 2 weeks but even so...!)

I'm just contemplating visiting a different agency - what are your views?

I have signed with 4 diffrent agencies atm. I would keep signing with agencies til you get the amount of jobs you want. Alot of agencies sign alot more supplies than they need.
