- i'm not sure I want to know how much money is wasted on CRB's.

Its such a money making scam! I'm sure there's a way you can have one CRB and they just check online if theres anything they should know about since that CRB was completed.

Have just claimed back the cost of my latest CRB (June 2011) now only work for 1 agency in 1 school and after 20 days work can get this refund. first time in 3 years of supply I have been able to do this. Heard some more nonsense today about how 'they' are going to sort the CRB mess out.... Not holding my breath but it's way overdue!

e redundant last month ,and have found another job ,but they wont start me until my CRB comes through which I understand even though I already have one from my previous job .The CRB received the application on the 2nd December 2011 and it went thought the first 3 stages quite quickly .Its now been at stage 4 (police ) for nearly a month .I have phoned the police and they have no record of it ,when I told the CRB this they said they don’t know which police force it would have gone to as it could of gone anywhere I have lived in my area all my life and been at my current address for the last 11 years .MY guess is it may be because I have a common name .I now have to go and apply for job seekers allowance because I really don’t know how long this is all going to take ,seams crazy when I can start the job tomorrow if the CRB came back .I understand checks need to be
