Default Agency advice

Hi,
can anyone tell me about their experiences, if any, with an agency called UK Teaching? It's just that they've said they will pay me for the day's supply work missed to attend an interview - seem s very unusual for an agency to do this - any thoughts - by the way the school the interview is at is under special measures in a rather desolate part of England!
cheers
Brendan

I can't comment on the agency, as I have no personal experience with them, but I have worked in several different schools who are considered "special measures." One of them has absolutely AWFUL overall student behaviour and a high turnover of staff (those left are overwhelmed) and the other school is wonderful and has some of the best behaved students and very welcoming staff, so I imagine part of their special measures could be related to academics solely.
