where has the past 32 weeks gone?!) and still loving every minute of it. Things are getting a bit hectic on the work load side, hence the lack of posts on here recently!

I have just finished a weeks attachment to traffic, which surprisingly enough I really enjoyed especically as I don't know one end of a car form another!! Had to do traffic control on one of the busy A roads on friday lunchtime and nearly arrested a bus driver because he wouldn't do what I told him to (God I wish I could have done that at school!!). Have seen

bodies, missing people, disgusting houses, horrible people, nice people, interviewed loads of suspect (fab I love interviewing!) and had the p*£$ taken loads of times from my tutors just because 'I have one of those faces'! But overall I love it, have no regrets and cannot wait until January 25th when my training finished and I get to to 'play' all the time!!

I know it is the wrong forum to post it on, but I know you are all interested really!!

It sounds like you are really enjoying it, you seem so enthusiastic. It sounds very interesting too... not boring at all!

January 25th will soon be here!

WOW I used to sound that excited about teaching! Now I'm just a jaded old moan!

Great to hear that some people love being a police officer, they get nearly as much bad press as teachers.

hope it carries on being good for you.

that's really excellent to hear, I know police suffer from the same politics and moans as the teaching profession does so it's nice when peopel are still really enthusiatic about it. Just hope you are in a few years time. One of my friends is a chief inspector and she is - but she just doesn't like being out the streets anymore so does the theoritical stuff - at least there is a place for both.

Of course we're all interested to hear how you are getting on - no point posting on a 'more appropriate' site, cos we wouldn't see it then! Glad you're still enthusiastic. I'm still enthusiastic too, although I'm thinking I want to go back to the state sector now.

Oh, I like being outside - no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing nutty!! even in the lakes!
I don't know how i'd deal with seeing all the crap, I'm first aid trained but sometimes wonder how i'd deal with it if presented with major stuff. As a youth worker I used to go into some pretty horrendous housing and dealt with it ok, but I quite like lovely bright decroated classrooms now!

And yes, how is the house stuff going?
