Now nutty said on another thread she wanted to swap choccie recipes with me which is all very well except that I don't know many good ones. Or not ones short enough to type on to here. Sooooo I thought I'd open it up to all of you to help poor nutty out with some great choccie recipes.

My favourite is to buy some ready

ed puff pastry and some cooking chocolate drops. Sprinkle the drops over the pastry. Fold the edges of the pastry into the middle. Re-sprinkle and re-fold. Continue sprinkling and folding til you get a log shape. Slice the log into 1cm ish slices and place on a metal tray with cut side down. Cook til goldren brown, about 10-15 mins at can't remember what temperature, whatever you normally cook pastry at. Scoff them all before OH gets home!

If you make them with cinnamon and nutmeg instead of choccie drops they are only 60 calories a biccie!

So now over to you all for some good recipes.

PS I'm supposed to be diesting so any low fat ones would be appreciated.

Malteser Pleaser!!!!!!

Crushed choc digestives mixed with golden syrup and butter - cover the bottom of a tin.

Poor over as many maltesers as you can.

Top with melted chocolate and put in the fridge. Great for those times when a square of choc is just not enough.

Comfort food at its best!!!!!!

This is probably why i need to loose weight lol

Mmmm! Great thread Minnie, thank you!
As I was reading your recipe... was thinking sultanas would be great in it too... fat free-ish?!

Ok, here's mine...

Chocolate Eggy Bread!!!

Melt dark chocolate with some milk, beat egg and whisk in.
Melt some butter in a pan.
De-crust bread, cut into pleasant shapes, dip in mixture.
Fry in pan.
Mix cinnamon & sugar, sprinkle over top.
Top with warm rasp/straw/berry jam (adding

Mmmmmm love the sound of the malteser pleaser......might have to use choccie pastry as I'm not keen on biscuit bases though.

I'm not a fan of eggy bread itself so have resisted the

of choccie eggy bread......might give it a go one day when OH isn't around to tut and sigh.

I love the toffee rice crisy bars that kellogs or someone makes. White choccie or mars bar ones are great too.

I think that apple might be too tricky in my original recipe as they resulting pastries are really tiny. Maybe if you cokked the apples first and spread it on like jam it might work. Like the

though. Maybe sultana, apple and cinnamon........

Ohhh dear my mouth is watering and yet I'm supposed to be dieting. Choccie is supposed to be an occasional treat!! (Well according to Rosemary Conley anyways!)

*off to look for a satsuma or some other boring 'power snack'!

Oh, what does Rosemary know?! A snack isn't to keep the hunger at bay, it's to keep your spirits up.. .what good is a piece of fruit? Unless it's dipped in chocolate of course!
