Is this a forum a world cup free zone? I do hope so, am a bit sick of it all already and my hubby hates footie so I don't even have it at home. How many non-footie supporters are on the forum? Can I do a poll Nutty, how???

Spent a long time on the phone this morning with my brother, him saying if he had the money, he'd fly back for it... a friend's brother actually arrived back three days ago, ready for the match today! That's a lot of money spent (NZ also) just so he could sit in a proper English pub and support a team!

I was miffed with my brother, he'd fly back for the World Cup if he'd had the money, but it never enters his head to think about flying back for family weddings etc!!!

Is St George's Day coming up soon? I keep seeing these flags all round?

Ok, I've cast my vote, whinge over!

Actually, did feel sorry for some people today... I sang at a wedding, it started at 1pm.. the blokes didn't look too happy about being there I tell you! Most s

I'm actually quite interested in how England do, but wouldn't dream of sitting down watching them play - Mr Nutcracker just shouts updates to me every now and then. Can't understand the mentality behind sitting in front of a telly during that lovely weather yesterday.

I'm with you on the flags, never see them for St.G's day the way they are now, and I pity the idiots who have stuck stickers all over their cars, what fools they'll look when we don't win, or even if we do, they'll still look foolish 2 months down the line when its all over!

There was a house in one of the nearby towns that painted itself white with red crosses on all four external walls for the European cup thingy... didn't paint them off... put it on the market sometime later, and nothing... then literally the day after they painted over the crosses, someone bought it! I doubt the neighbours would have been happy for all that time.

Cracker, OH shouts updates to me too... he was watching it on broadband, so really only got the commentary and stills. I pointed out he could put the radio on, get better commentary, and get the wall built in the back garden! Went down like a lead balloon!

I'm enjoying the world cup, watching some other teams play not just England. Other countries matches have been more exciting so far.
