Quiet time
My Internet connection at home is not working that's why I am so quiet. I do miss connecting with you all I have done 3 days as a supply teacher in Reception 2 days and year 2. It has been beautiful!

Glad to hear all is going well for you workwise. I know what you mean about missing chatting on here, all I have time for at the moment is quick reads and no replies!

And I'm so busy with the new business - I could really do without this two week stint in school - I'm having to work all the evenings! But if OH can lounge about with his head stuck in - wait for it - The Da Vinci Code ( To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. Nice to hear you're enjoying the work!

I've heard the Davinci Code film isn't very good. I've read (as has my OH) all the Dan Brown's and my favourite in Deception Point! This should be in the book thread shouldn't it?! Sorry!

Mr Nutcracker has just read Da Vinci code as well - took him three days where a whole book normally takes three months. Not a great reader. He's had a lot of time on his hands though with this knee injury he's had. I've been telling him for ages that he'd really enjoy it.

I haven't been tempted to read it myself yet, I think it's all the hype.. I'm a stubborn mule when it comes to anything that's popular and fashionable... 'you can't make me like it, just coz everyone else does!'
I'll read a To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. of pages when he's finished, and see if I want to carry on...
How's that knee injury anyway?! Did he knock the cap out of place or something? Ouch!

He tore the cartilege (for about the third time). Had to have keyhole surgery to repair it. It has its advantages (for him), though, because every time we go out he gets to drink because I have to drive. Grrrr. Actually, I'm being unfair - I got home from work on Friday and he had nearly finished cleaning the house, which I was expecting to have to do as he is supposed to be resting his leg. So the poor love just got told off for doing it. I did say thank you as well, after I had finished nagging!

Bless!
Mine's gone off to Loch Lomond water-skiing. Is used to skiing after work four times a week, but Loch Lomond's the nearest place now (3 hours away!) that he can ski properly, so I can't complain really, he doesn't go half as often as I thought he would...
