Wow!
Can't believe it! I was at a very local school (takes 8 minutes to get there from my front door!) today and did all my literacy and numeracy marking at lunchtime. Practical science lesson in the afternoon, day finishes at 3pm and wrote up my evaluation of the day after the children left. Tidied room and signed out. Left by 3.35 and home (via shop for chocolate

They all finish at 3:30 here, and I have 30+ minute drive.. My problem now though, if I've not got marking, is a) one night I do an after school club, and b) the other nights, if I'm at one of my regular schools, I end up chatting 'til half four!

My new school finishes at 3, so if I've got nothing to do there I'll be on the road by 3.15, home by 3.45, not bad!

I used to do 2 days a week in a school 5 mins cycle ride from my house that finished at 2:30! It was great, would do all my marking at lunchtime and then only have a few bits to do after school and then be home by 3pm!!!

Today - school finished at 3:25 - no marking needed - signed out and had time to chat to a teacher (did my 2nd year placement there) and got home by 3:40!

The beauty of working in one of the schools in your own village!

I had PPA time today! First time ever!

Still didn't leave until 4:20 though, and brought it home with me too!

This is not what I want from supply! Arghh!

The job I'll be starting after half term will be 3 days a week with my own class. Does this mean I'll get PPA time????
