Default Had the day from hell!

OMG! What a day!
School from hell, class from hell, class ROOM from hell!"!!!!!!!!
ARGH!!!!!!
It was a new school today - just down the road.
I thought "great!, nice and local, easy to get to etc etc"
Well, got there fine. Was left standing out in the wind and rain at 8am cos no one was there then so was cold and wet b4 day even started. Then I got shown to the classroom which is a little walk around a MASSIVE building site! So I was in a hut, freezing cold, all alone and miserable. Then the kids arrived and boy, they were horrible! So many little gits in there. I ended up signing out when I left and left a list of about 8 boys who need to see the Head tomorrow (also in tomorrow am - urgh!). I felt bad about it but they were so difficult. Apparently the supply earlier in the week had sent some others off to the head and other teachers. I don't like doin this and have at least shown I could

! Have a nice cup of tea and a rest and plan a plan or action for tomorrow.

What year group was it? I'm imagining Year 5 or 6? Is it so close that you are going to be bumping into the kids at the local shop?

You did the right thing leaving names. It's the ONLY way they'll learn - even just making them miss break or lunch and doing something boring like writing lines will make them think. Hopefully.

Oh no! Is this one you were looking forward to because it's so close?!

It may all be different tomorrow you know... even if it's the same class... make sure you're in a positive frame of mind, tell a few nicies it's lovely to see them again, make sure you've a 75 minute lesson planned for a 60 minute lesson, and don't let them get a word in edgeways...

Good luck!

And if it's grotty again.. .well, it's Friday, and it usually is!!!!
