Default Thinking about branching out......

.....and maybe starting a small business on the sidelines of supply teaching. Not anything too adventurous but something like selling Body shop or Phoenix card products? Has anyone ever done this before and if so, how did it go? Can anyone recommend anything that works well (ie working in evenings once or twice a week and not day time work)?
Thanks!

Do you do private tuition? I'd do that full-time if I could afford to, it's wonderful... completely different to supply work really...

Is Body Shop a franchise system? I believe they give good training etc. I've been to a

I just said about the tuition because you could probably make in two hours what you would in a night with Body Shop... and it'd be more regular work...

I too am thinking of doing tuition during the hols. Where's the best place to advertise or do you think it's best to go through an agency?

Hmmmm, the tuition

is a good one.
However, I have a very small house so it would be tricky to tutor from here. Could I tutor children in their own homes? Would that be ok or better even?
Would this be for KS2 SATs tuition or GCSE? Would be interested in what would be the best places to advertise or get recruited from also!

I used to sell Dorling Kindersley books at parties. That was great,

e a decent commission. The only trouble was that I was so enthusiastic about the product that I spent all my profits (and more) on books for myself! DK don't sell like that any more, but I think Usborne do.
