what is it with some agency consultants

I was booked for half a day in a nursery today, only accepted because I thought it be a full day. Anyway i said I'll do it because I thought the money will come in handy.

I got a call from my other agency asking my availiability today, I said I was booked in the afternoon. he said it was in one of my regular schools. So, I said I'll do it and cancel the other booking.

So I called my consulatant saying I can't work in the afternoon, i said I had a dentist appoinment (which I did but not during school time, lol) that I forgot about. He's like when did you book that, i was thinking whats it got 2 do with u when I book appoinments. I said I booked it last week and 4got to say that i'm not available this afternoon blah blah blah. I can't stand the uptight tone they give you when you can't work or u have been booked elsewhere. This agency/schools cancelled 3 bookings before half trem I didn't make a big deal, just accepted it and said I want extra pay for inconvenience. Now I'm cancelling a booking and they make it out to be a big deal. eels like I have to explain my life 2 them all the time.

Anyway I'm glad I cancelled because I ending up getting book for 2 more days at my regular school.

Ahhh... such is life... the buggers! I'm glad I don't work through one I think.. I can just imagine what they'd make of me... they have such a cheek asking you why you're cancelling... it's like asking a woman if she plans on having babies in the next year at an interview... it's none of their business! I'd really embarrass them and say I had an appointment with my Gynies/Shrink etc., or something silly like I was getting married/got an appointment with the law!

Lol, Nutty i'll try that next time. My other agency is lovely (Prospero) they never mind if I've been booked elsewhere or ask why Iam cancelling or can't work.
