Teaching union - which do you recommend?

Hi

Just wondering which supply agency you recommend. I have been with ATL but my renewal for this year is about £20 a month! Can't really afford this as i am a supply who has had no work since 16th December and only 18 1/2 days since September!

Can anyone suggest a cheaper/better agency?

I am going to be paying about £70 for NUT but I don't think I've given the correct info about the amount of work I've done!

I just sacked ATL last week after many years to join the NUT, nothing to do with financials, can't even remember how much it was (£65?) but because the NUT are the only union not to support the use of CSs/HLTAs in classrooms, they believe kids should be taught by teachers.

Just wondering which type to choose tho.
You either choose 60% or more (Full time) or 30-60% - how will you know how much you are goning to teach?

I'd ring them and speak to them about it. They do understand. ATL were good, they just put me on the lowest tariff, and told me to let them know if I started getting more work and they'd change it. I'm pretty much on a fixed contract now with little chance of any other work, so I didn't question NUT about it.
