Just a quick update

I haven't posted much for a while but I have been dipping in now and again. I did post a long while ago about my trials and tribulations as an NQT working as a supply until a permanent post can along to do my NQT year in. Having not been able to get a post I was stopped from teaching (I got caught out by a supply agency) and became an HLTA. Well the good news is that the school I work for has said that I can do my NQT year there (actually it will be 7 terms and a few odd days!) So in September I start a job share and work the rest of the time as an HLTA! It is such a relief and very exciting. I'll be working in Y3 where I am currently jobsharing on a temp basis. It's a bit peculiar having a toe in both camps though!

Oh wow Wendy! That's fabulous news!! Soooooo, there are still some lovely schools out there! Enjoy every minute, make sure you get the support you're entitled to, and good luck!!

Oh thats great you will be the most experienced NQT ever it will be a breeze! Glad you like the school too.
