Default Help! Really worried.

Hi Guys!

Not supply teaching related but I feel really worried and it's probably about nothing! Just need reassurance.

I was driving back from work this evening in a single carriage road leading into a dual carriage road and this guy in front suddenly breaked to turn left so I pulled around him just as a guy was overtaking me (rather rapidly as I didn't see him at all and thought the lane was empty). We clipped wind mirrors and the guy shook his fist at me. We didn't pull over as there was no damage to either wing mirror (his just pinged back when the passenger moved it back) so we both kept going. He slowed down at the roundabout and fell behind me then at the next roundabout he overtook me and called out the window to see I was alright. I nodded. The thing is, I'm really worried incase he's

ied down my number plate and will call the police (could I get into trouble?) or try to make a claim or something. I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill but it really was a non-incident. Just a clip not a crash.

I called my insurance company to let them know what happened and that the guy might try and make a claim and they thanked me and said that they'd let me know if he did. But I'm worried still! Don't want to get into trouble!!!! Do you think I need to call the police and report it or would that be silly? I don't have the guys details at all and for all I know he might have already forgotten about it!

My hubby says not to worry and he's sure there's no problem but I AM worried!!!!! I think writing it down has helped.

Sorry to be such a weed.

Well you've told your insurance company. If you're still worried you could look online or try Citizens' Advice, but I really don't think you've got anything to worry about.

Good luck.

Thanks. Feeling bit better about it this morning. The worst that could happen is that he could claim money for a new wing mirror which is £150 at the most (not really worth claiming), That's why we have insurance!!!! Hubby says the police only need to be informed if there's an injury to someone and there wasn't. I don't feel bad about not stopping because he didn't pull over and I wasn't about to pull over when he was being aggressive!!!

Hi Clarabelle,

I wouldn't worry - it sounds to me as if the guy was actually feeling very guilty himself which is why he slowed down to check on you. He probably realised that he was overtaking recklessly and was worried that YOU might have taken HIS number down!

On a lighter note, a similar incident happened to me a while ago when a boy racer beeped at me at a roundabout (which he had approached so quickly that I didn't see him) - what did I do in retaliation??? I poked my tongue out
