Default I didn't get the dream job!
Had a last minute interview today for a part time Reception job... and I didn't get it!

Good news is that my interviewing technique must have improved as I didn't waffle, covered everything I wanted to cover and have been asked by the Head to do supply at the school instead.

Oh hun! Great that you've got supply there though, and obviously the HT will know you're after KS1 / part-time so keep in with them and it won't be long I'm sure!!!!

Well, they always say that "good things come to those that wait"...

...the school where I had an interview last August phoned me up today and offered me a job (yes, that's right, 9 months ago)!!!

They had said at the time that they really liked me and would keep my name on file (yeah, right - or so I thought!) and they kept their word! They had never asked me to do any supply as the school (think Head was unsure how to use me directly) so I had no contact in all this time until I sent them a letter 3 weeks ago reminding them that I was still available to work in their lovely (expanding) school!

Part-time in reception from September, with obviously any supply in the school too!! No need for another interview either!

Yippee!!
