Default agency

I had my appointment to fill in the paperwork for the supply agency yesterday. The lady noticed I had only given one referee with an explanation re my dilemma. She was not impressed with the school and suggested that they sent a 'to whom it may concern' letter as

for a reference and then if the school said anything act all innocent and say it was sent out by mistake and that they thought that the school had been my last employer! We had a bit of a giggle over that one! It was a strange appointment because I was asked my view on the causes of ADHD and whether I thought parents could be unpleasant to teachers and if I thought they expected too much from the teacher by way of bringing up their children!?! I was also asked if I would like to do admin work at 2 local children's centres over the holidays so I'm waiting to hear about that (not too optimistic as it is 20 years since I did office work).

They sound like a nice agency, Wendy. Fingers crossed they find you lots of work! Generally agency interviews are much less formal than school interviews too, probably why you had the odd mix of questions!

Good luck with it.

Whoa, I wasn't actually asked anything at my agency appointment except when I was available for work!! As you say, a strange appointment!
