Default Learning Activities

Dear all,

I need to write a lesson plan for age 11 to include "the learning activities". Can anyone please tell me what are "learning activities", is this jargon? Are any of these not learning activities....

reading textbook, writing in workbook, watching video / slideshow, answering quiz questions, discussion in small groups / pairs

have I missed any??

Lesson plans all seem to look different and use different terminology but, for a detailed lesson plan, I would normally put:

- Objectives/Lesson aims - i.e. what I want the children to know/be able to do by the end of the lesson(s)
- Procedure/Activities - what the children will actually do to achieve the objectives. This would be split into the introduction, main body of teaching/activities and review stages and I would also include differentiation/extension activities
- Resources
- Key vocab/questions

Yup, I'd see it as what the children are going to actually do themselves to help put what they've just heard/learnt from you into practice...
