Default opt out of pension scheme?

Hi- not sure if this the right part of the forum.
I retired last year following school re-organisation, now 57. Have just started doing a little supply work, and don't really want to do more than 1-2 days a week. I have been sent an opt out form for TPS. I have looked on their website, and gather I would have to pay a full year's contributions to qualify for any extra pension. With the little work I expect to be doing, it doesn't seem worth staying in. Have I understood it correctly?

Well I am a year older retired in Aug 08 and did tick the box to carry on paying, cant even recall why I did . However, recently thought better of it and had my contributions refunded you are quite right if only working 1-2 days not worth it.
