Default ARGHHHH stressing!!!!

I have been supply teaching for 6 weeks so fair new to it all.

I am due to be working Friday in a school I have only done half a day in so far.

I have just has a call asking if it is all planned etc already. I haven't had time to think about planning lessons as I have been in bed since Sat ill. I understand that at times I will have to plan lessons, however all the schools I have been in so far have had the policy "work is to be left for supply teachers". The class is covering nursery, reception, year 1 and year 2. The headteacher is very particular on what is taught, and I know she constantly "checks up" on supply teachers, and because of this I am stressing, as I don't know the children.

Please could anyone give me any advise, as stressing over this is the last thing I want to be doing when ill.

P.S. I am sorry if some of this makes no sense, my head is all over the place!

. You still have tomorrow to get ready for it - I'm unsure of what to do across that age range, I would imagine quite a lot of play based learning for the nursery and reception and small activities for Y1/2. Have the school given you any

s on what they would like you to do? Any topics or particular lessons?

Remember that the headteacher will know that you haven't met the children before and although they may be checking on you it may also be in a helpful way rather than a judgemental one.

And finally - if you are still feeling grotty tomorrow it isn't out of line to say you can't make it on Friday. At least if you say tomorrow there is enough time for someone else to be booked and plan work. If you feel that you aren't going to be at your best then is it really worth going in to a school which is going to make you get stressed out planning and worrying about being monitored all day. Just my advice but if you are still feeling poorly I wouldn't put myself through it, if its a really difficult day you may leave feeling worse and have to take more time off.
