Default Holidays?

Anyone got plans to go anywhere nice this year? We are sticking with tradition and staying within the UK as I still don't have a valid passport...

We're taking the ferry over to Guernsey in May half term for a short break - never been although Jersey is lovely. Then October half term

- actually cruising - on the Broads. Lovely! Spent our honeymoon on the Broads and have been several times - the best holiday I've ever had!

Would love to do a festival this year, maybe one of the little cheaper ones as the bigger ones cost an arm and a leg! And no doubt in the summer we'll do some weekend camping in the Moors and the Lakes, and maybe spend a weekend Devon way as we have friends down there.

And the Classics department at St Andrews is having a reunion for former students at which I am half tempted to put in an appearance. Maybe, or maybe just a weekend there camping instead!

and then in July we're going to Rome and Sorrento for our honeymoon. Bad year for going to Europe but there again you only get one honeymoon!!!

If we have any cash later in the year we might try a trip to Berlin too as OH's uncle lives there and has been bugging us to go for ages. We visited him when he lived in Cologne and had an ace time cos they knew all the good places to go and spoilt us rotten so will try for that too.

I'd love a holiday!

We take one every two years at the moment, a fortnight in Cornwall. It rained everyday barring 1 this August just gone, but at least we were camping in his auntie's field, and she

e us cake every day!

We have just redeemed some Tesco vouchers though, to have a weekend away, probably beginning of March... might go to Cheshire?

Live in the Lakes though, so I can't complain!

Thanks Nutty, I'm really excited for both cos we didn't have a holiday at all last year. Also looking forward to getting passport changed and going away as a Mrs this year for the first time, which is why the hen is so early - so I can get it changed in time.

Then in feb half term we are going here

We will also try and get some weekend camping breaks in locally, depends on money and how I am feeling.

We're hoping to get away this year, we haven't had a holiday for 5 years. We usually go to Cornwall but we can't really do that now so we haven't decided where yet!

We just booked flights to Berlin for our 1st anniversary. Will probably go to the Hay on Wye festival for the first half of Whitsun then flying to Berlin on the Wednesday for the second half of the week.
Anyone been before? Any tips or suggestions as to what we should do? (Besides eating, drinking and kanoodling!)
