Default Any advice on lesson plans?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how detailed lesson plans need to be for supply work. I am getting swamped trying to think about lesson plans and organise resources! When I was training my plans were extremely detailed and differentiated. What do I need to include in my plans ( ie learning objectives/ success criteria - linking to specific National Curriculum areas such as English 1[a]). Also, do I need to leave a

Any help will be greatfully received

As far as I know you don't HAVE to create lesson plans or leave any, a report on what you've done with the learning objectives would certainly be welcomed. Hopefully lessons will be left for you and all you'll have to do is comment on how they went.

s and resources, but if and when I did have to plan it was very brief, just a note of objectives and NC links.

When you see the weekly plans that teachers produce you'll be gobsmacked because you'll usually see 1 A4 sheet for a WEEK of maths, 1 A4 sheet for literacy and 1 A4 sheet for all foundation subjects.

You will NEVER plan like you did in uni again (unless you go on a refresher course at some stage).

Cool, they're right, you have no obligation to do any planning whatsoever. The school should have plans in place already for the week, so even if it's covering a sudden illness, there should be something there. I'm constantly amazed at how many supply teachers say they have to plan, or are left no planning... I don't go back if there's no planning left to be honest!!

Just for your own peace of mind Whoops! you need those thematic
