Give them an open ended activity like designing a poster for safety in the sun. So you could talk about the Aussie slogan, slip, slap, slop slide and they could make their own version and do a poster, design a

There aren't any below Y3 as yet as I teach KS2 and have very little experience of KS1, not nearly enough to be able to write plans that are actually worth reading I'm sure!

Default It went great

Thanks is went well. First time I have smiled teaching. The teacher was fully prepared and had well written plans for both lessons. I had so much help from the TA's. They were wonderful. I still messed up a bit with setting work. I forget I need to spell it out for them with regards to starting a new page, how to set up the page etc., but I won't forget that again. I have a year 5 tomorrow so wish me luck!
Totally see now how designing a poster for safety in the sun would work for this age. I think I prefer the younger ones, now.

Actually I think it is an exercise that could work up to Year 6, just needs higher expectations. Glad it went well.

Glad it went well, and gosh, you seem to have a lot of work on already, if that's your agency they're doing you proud!

Good luck tomorrow...
