Default help with planning FS

HI guys, I need your help. I've spent the last 2 days starting to get my head around my new job. And it's spinning more than ever. The planning / timetables / example of daily planning i've got from the old teacher does not make any sense to me / give me enough info on how the class works, so i'm starting from scratch. Unfortunatly the school / class is quite different from the 2 other reception classes I work in regularly and what we do there just won't work. I'm also not used to planning FS totally from scratch.
I'm sure I remember some of you are in reception. Could you help out and send me examples of your planning - weekly / or long term. And a time table? Or any of you that know people in reception that might be able to get hold of something? I'm been wading my way through the web and found some useful stuff but not overall planning.
Thank you muchly in advance.
Bit of background: it's a inner london, low acheiving 5 form entry infants school, lots of EAL / non-english background, really need to do more outdoor stuff, there is a huge area but not used well.

It doesn't actually come into effect until Sept '08, but most schools and publications are starting to implement it from now on in.

The best way to approach it is to pick a topic and then do a topic web with the areas of learning identified in separate sections. Write down all your

Split your class into small groups based broadly on ability. Find out how much class support you'll hvae 'cos then you can plan to have maybe 2 or 3 groups working with support and the others on free choice (but limit that 2 a

Also, bear in mind that for the first half term at least, the kids will be exhausted by about half way through the afternoon, so you'll probably need to give your last session of each day over to songs and stories.

Thank you S. - i'd bee nthinking along those lines. But i'm only there the next 1/2 term! I'll worry about starting the year if I get a job for sept! I was going to pick a theme, just not sure whether one theme for the whole time or a

s / routines simply because i can't get my head around how it works at the moment - which is sayign sometimes as after a year of solely doing KS1 / FS supply, this is the first planning / timetable i've felt like this about.
i got loads of help from my regular supply school today, got their overall plans and they showed me the stuff from DFES about EAL children, the new phonics guidance, so when I sit down to do this again on friday, hopefully it will be better.
