Meeting new class...
Next week sometime (well, am booked up every day except Thurs so it'll have to be then!!!!) and I need some help with how to make a good first impression and what kind of activities I should do with them. I was thinking of going over the class code with them again and making name labels or something. Please help - am so nervous!

How long are you with them? Class rules is always good, and some sort of name game, your expectations etc?

Just the Summer Term so not too bad. It's just that I haven't been a full time class teacher in 4 years and I'm a bit panicky about planning/assessment etc.

Just going out... but I'll post later (also parents here for the weekend)... you're used to introducing yourself to kids all the time... don't worry about it!
Set out all your rules, give them all a responsibility, set up rotas, etc... will write later!

Don't know when or how long exactly. My agency is trying to get me in on Thursday except I REALLY need a full day's supply pay so hope it's not just a morning!
I've been thinking I should make a list of questions to ask current teacher covering:

Ability Groupings
Planning etc.
