This course is good to gain the basic signs and is fairly useful in school but I feel that doing the Level 1 course has given me more confidence and I feel like I'm learning more signs this way. Also, it's good to have a recognisable qualifi To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ion. It looks good! I might suggest one of my schools looks at it... they've plenty of signing kids, so it'd be nice to get the non-signing kids to do something... £15... might have a shot myself!
Good luck Clarabelle! Did you find out your results yet?

Hi all you keen signers To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. I've got level 1 and 2 BSL and cannot recommend it enough, it is a skill that is useful wherever you are. I've even been approached by deaf people when away on holiday To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. The only advice i would give is to practice, practice, practice (especially infront of a mirror) and totally immerse yourself in the deaf culture if you are serious about passing your exams. This could be by going to deaf clubs etc where the signers that have different variations are and also the ones that are not particulary easy to understand.
Good luck all of you it is a fantastic language to learn To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Good luck!!! That's where I'm from originally... I did a course there once too... all I can remember though I'm afraid is the sign for Doncaster, which I believe is the same for Ascot, and any other town which has a racecourse, as well as the sign for jockey!!!
Are you going to get to see any of Ladies Day this weekend??

...and then money to place bets too! A lot of my old school friends are going, I'm afraid I'd go in jeans and a fleece, hide at the back, and people watch!
