This course is good to gain the basic signs and is fairly useful in school but I feel that doing the Level 1 course has given me more confidence and I feel like I'm learning more signs this way. Also, it's good to have a recognisable qualifi

It looks good! I might suggest one of my schools looks at it... they've plenty of signing kids, so it'd be nice to get the non-signing kids to do something... £15... might have a shot myself!

t unit 2 anyway as I've paid for it. Also, if I fail my first exam all I need to do is retake it. Fingers crossed I won't need to!

I've got level 1 and 2 BSL and cannot recommend it enough, it is a skill that is useful wherever you are. I've even been approached by deaf people when away on holiday

The only advice i would give is to practice, practice, practice (especially infront of a mirror) and totally immerse yourself in the deaf culture if you are serious about passing your exams. This could be by going to deaf clubs etc where the signers that have different variations are and also the ones that are not particulary easy to understand.
