Thanks everyone!

Yes, skied before, in fact have withdrawal symptoms as something got in the way of us going last year!

We went to Vegas last year and it was fab, (OH's significant birthday!). I wasn't sure I would like it but loved it. Go to Mon Amis, the restaurant in Paris and sit outside and watch the fountain show at the Bellagio, lovely food and setting, that was one of my favourite things! (this should probablly be a different thread now!)

Good luck for the interview, apostrophes might work well but I'm a bit worried because I know what what happen if someone unfamiliar attempted that with my lovely but 'special' class.

I've got a nice activity using photos of Walter Tull that was really successful that I've just done with mine in mixed ability pairs that I can send you if you change your mind about apostrophes.

Definitely ask about support!

Hey, thanks for the info on Vegas! I'll keep it in mind.
Would you mind sending me the lesson that you did, I think that apostophes might be a bit dry and that is the last thing I need!! I'm really quite nervous about it, not neccessarily the lesson but the interview. the last interview i had for a job in a school was awful. The first thing they asked me was 'What do you enjoy doing in the classroom?' Completely threw me!

Hi Ruby,
I haven't been online for a few days and I did my lesson today. In the end I did Aesop's Fables and just relied on lots of discussion and note ta

from the kids. It went ok, not great but wasn't hideous either. i've got the dreaded interview tomorrow. Eeek!
Thanks for the kind offer of your lesson, I bet it is great! Kids generally love football so it would probably have gone down a treat.
I'll let you all know how it turns out after tomorrow, yikes!

Good luck Mrs HJ, I've got my interview on Friday and am full of nerves already. Just get a good nights sleep and do as well as you can. Fingers crossed for you, I really hope you get it.

Best of luck to both of us, we deserve it!!!
