Default Experienced SENCO moan this way if you want!

And thats one reason why I have taken early retirement. Had management points and place on SMT full support from them and staff, 50% chn on register. But, SEN policies finance etc etc vary so much between local authorities and the personnel in mine changed like the wind. Its really hard to keep tabs on it all. Best tip for me was to attend all INSET make friends with your local SENCO's Learning Support Teacher Ed Psych etc and attend the Special needs Panel or equivalent so you can see how the system works. Never had an EA2 rejected prior to 2007.My LA as many is doing away with statements so to get through chn have to have multiple needs and loads of paperwork to prove every point you want to make. Then they get @ £3,000 if you are lucky affords someone with a pulse but no special training.Rant over.
