Default New job

I went into school yesterday to meet my new department. They all seem lovely and the school is so proffesional compared to what I've been used to. They had prepared a pack for me with a planner, timetable, info on the discipline policy and a summary of all my new classes in terms of ability and who to watch out for. All of the classes have seating plans too.

The deputy head has already arranged for me to go on a course, filled out my forms for me and timetabled me a fortnightly slot to see her. They can't change the timetable but she's going to make sure I don't have to do cover and she's given the form to another teacher so I get 20 minutes free every morning.

to hear that I'd had none of this help in my previous job. I got quite choked as she was being so lovely about it.

One of my classes is quite challenging so they've arranged support for the first two weeks.

AND! They're letting me complete my two terms!! YAY!

I'm so scarred by the last place that I hadn't allowed myself to get excited but everything seems right again so I can have a weekend of planning with positivity. Just hope it lasts.

That is such good news! You must be so relieved! It's fab when schools are so organised and supportive. Some schools have no

It's a maternity cover, I wasn't supposed to start until October but the due date has been brought forward so I'm starting earlier.

Excellent A1! It sounds like a fantastically organised school... seating plans etc! And soooo supportive, there exactly when you need them!

What a relief about your two terms too!
