Default Bored in Numeracy and money being wasted

I have a Y6 Numeracy booster group. I also have a Y6 Literacy booster group.

The Lit group is fab, we get so much done, so much achieved, it's well worth every penny/minute.

In Numeracy, the teacher hasn't got her head round me being there yet (been there since September!) so I have to sit in the class on the same table as the group of 5. More than half the lesson is teacher led! I sit and get taught!

Final straw today, teacher turns round to tell the person who was talking off, it was me. The kid really didn't get it and there was no point them listening to what the teacher was saying as they'd moved on to the next bit. I got told off!

I'm a fully-qualified, very experienced teacher! If it's not worth saying, would I be saying it?! It was the first bit of constructive work I had done with that child in Numeracy since September. There are already four other adults in the class, I don't need to be there, I just occassionally give a kid a prod to keep them on task.

Add to this: half, count them, half, the class get taken out of the room at the start of the lesson by a TA to do the springboard stuff!
