Can't come up with much, could you put them into pairs, give them pictures of characters and their titles and get them to match the character to the story title. Or you could read a story eg Cinderella and them give them an outline of the character, maybe a different character for each group and working in groups thought

the personality of the character, what they might look like (this could be drawn), get them thinking about describing words, then feed back to rest of group. Giving them highlighters or felt tips to write with for some reason makes it more exciting!
Thats all Ive got for the moment Good Luck!

tale images so you could create a scene to inspire the children, letting them move characters around as they recall parts of the story. If not, maybe you could use props or give a few children masks so they can act out the story with you.

When the children move off into groups, you could set up activities such as mini zigzag books for them to draw parts of the story (LA group could sequence some

ied pictures, HA group could add written sentences to tell the story) For less teacher input, maybe a group could work on computers or solve a puzzle on this theme?

Share the results as a plenary and maybe finish with a song if there's time (although half an hour can fly by!)?

Good luck
