Almost certainly, there will be planning left for you - as a supply teacher, you are not expected to write any plans. I follow the class teacher's plans as closely as I can (some are harder to follow so I just use common sense if unsure!) and then I leave feedback/notes for the teacher on how the day went.
As for what to take in with you, there have been loads of posts about that so have a quick search. I tend to take in a To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. of favourite books and some pens (so I can take the register without a pen search!) - if there is no planning (rare!) I can normally base a day's lessons around a book.

Songs are normally a good option, particularly in KS1 - again, have a look at previous posts.
