As an NQT having to work an HLTA I would say no problems. Schools love a bargain!

I guess that depends on the schools. The 3 schools I worked for primarily wanted good teachers... be them NQTs or post-threshold. If they liked them, they asked them to return... Worth a shot, it's a big difference in pay, and, really gets me cross this, don't they want what's best for the kids at the end of the day?!
