Default Warning to new supply teachers

Warning - do not sign up with Vision for Education.

I am speaking as a NQ supply teacher and I have had the displeasure of working with Vision. I signed up to three agencies (thank god) and vision have been nothing but a let down.

1. in interview they completely slagged off the other agency who i had already signed up with (this other agency has given me 15days work as opposed to vision's 2)

2. my clearance went through at the beginning of october after i had to ring up and pester them as to why it hadn't

3. £105 a day = complete and utter joke - try £66 after 'company expenses'

4. "You can claim travel expenses and food" = bull - after i rang up merigmill (the company they work through) they politely informed me that this is not a service they provide.

5. they never ring to check my availability despite me having had excellent feedback from both placements (I checked)

However, it may be different for you so if you decide that you want to be underpaid (if you ever do get offered any work!) and insulted...join vision for education.

Speaking as a teacher who has had a really bad experience and just wants to prevent others from having to go through the same.

lol - thanks for sharing and good luck with the other agencies (or maybe some schools direct so you really do make more money!?)
