Hoping you can help.

After I finished my NQT year (summer 2007) I went onto supply, and have been on supply ever since, so have been considering myself as M2 when filling out appli

ions. What I want to know is, at what point can I call myself M3?
Does it have to be full time Monday to Friday throughout the whole school year before you move up on the scale? Or does supply work count? I really hope it does!! I've been getting quite a lot of supply just recently (more than just one day a week - woohoo!)

and I'd love for that to help me on my way to earning some real money. Will I go up to M3 in September after doing a full year's worth of supply? Or will I stay as M2 forever until I get a full time permanent job?

Please help, I couldn't think of anywhere else I could ask!

Thanks

Hayley

Are you paid through the LEA or an agency? I'm paid through the LEA and so I get a pay rise every September. But I believe different LEAs have different policies, though I may be wrong 'cos I think the supply pay now has to be in line with permanent posts. I'm sure someone else will know that nitty gritty bit! I don't know about agencies - sorry.
