Default Hello

Just thought I would pop in and say hello. This site was mentioned on the TES where I am a member and so thought I would join. I have been doing supply for a year now as I cannot get a job after finishing my PGCE - though I have been to 18 interviews. I am registered with Protocol, Hays, Reed, but am going to register with Select as well next week as I have been working for Protocol and feel that they have been messing me about.

Look forward to chatting to all of you on here - it looks like a really friendly community.

Also I would like to ask, is there any way to disable the smilies in posts? Whenever I type something like 'asking' a smiley of a king comes up, etc. It makes it a bit hard to read things.

Welcome. Just replied to your other post but wanted to say a proper hello as well. I didn't realise you were registered with so many agencies, where are you based?

Hi gaskellgirl! Welcome to the forum... we stay friendly as long as we've had out chocolate!! Have mentioned on the other thread about going to schools direct... why not try that out? Are you now subject to losing your NQT status if you haven't got a contract by Christmas???

Hello from me too!

Sorry but not really able to help with your other post about agencies. I know lots of people use them and find them great but I was never very impressed and preferred having direct contact with schools as Nutty suggested. However, Hays weren't too bad and at school now we use Select.

Also find it difficult to
