Default Swapping secondary for primary...

Hi, I am just

ting out as a supply teacher. I was a secondary Geography teacher until 5 years ago when i had my son. I have decided that I would much rather teach primary now and am trying to cross over through a combination of supply, volunteering and RTT course next spring. Would love to be able to apply for proper jobs this time next year. Has anyone else done this and could they offer me any advice, in fact any advice is welcome! I have got a letter and cv sorted and plan to drop it round to a few schools this afternoon. Do you think I should then ring them after a few days or just wait and see? As you can tell I'm really nervous, any help appreciated!

I'm probably too late here if you were going this afternoon, but I've always dropped letters in by hand so they could put a face to the name, sounds like you may have done this?

Sounds like with supply, the course and voluntary work you've got it covered, it's just now ma
