Smile Just introducing my self

Hi, My name is Janelle and I just started supply teaching on Monday. I've only recently graduated and this is my first teaching job. My first day was a complete disaster (it started with me falling and bruising my knees like a small child while walking to the school, and just got worse!). I was in a different school from Tuesday to Friday though and I really enjoyed it. A real relief after the first day!
Anyway, I really just wanted to introduce my self and to say that I've been reading a lot of the posts and advice and thanks because its been really helpful.

Janelle

Well done for keeping going though, the first day is often so hard people never want to do it again! Also, you've done so well to have a full week from the start, that shouldv'e given you plenty of confidence to keep going!

Hello and welcome Janelle. I started supply teaching about 2 years ago and found this site really helpful and supportive. Well done on getting through your first week.

Hi Janelle

I loved supply teaching when I was doing it. I'm a writer now, but I still visit the site pretty much every day!!!

Good luck as you progress with your career.

Thanks for all your welcoming comments. I did feel like giving up after my first horrible day but I really needed the money and am glad now because I really enjoyed the rest of the week. I guess there will be good days and bad days (and thats why chocolate and wine were invented! lol)

Hello and welcome from me too. Glad you survived your first week, chocolate and wine are always great in a crisis! Hopefully you'll have lots more really good days.
