Hello! Welcome, belatedly though it is, to the forum!
Helpful hints: if you have supply booked for half a day, and then a different school wants the other half, let them know that you already have e.g. the morning booked, so you won't be able to get in that early that you'll have time to To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. These messages to the schools are increasingly important as you go up through KS2 as obviously there's more and more to mark, especially from the morning sessions.
Marking during the lesson shouldn't be seen as bad practice. Really it's a great thing! You give the children instant feedback, they can use it and move on from there straight away, no meaningless message that they'll not bother to try and read this time next week when they have the next RE lesson! You'll be fine, walk round with your biro in hand and tick and comment as you go along. Also, sometimes if we've done lots of chat, if a child has taken more of my time than usual, I'll not mark the book, but simply put 'Verbal feedback given' or something similar.
But the big question, what's your favourite chocolate?!
Seriously, don't spend the whole weekend worrying about this will you?!
