Default It's been a long time coming!

Welcome!

I've wanted to do this for a while, and I've been prompted into doing it after being frustrated that I couldn't post what I really thought, how I really felt, in other forums.

Please feel you can post freely, but do respect eachother. Those who don't play fair, will have their posts removed and their email addresses/IDs blocked.

Be wary, as ever, of naming names, giving out personal information etc., as we don't really know who's out there... :

, sounds like they really want to keep you there! How do you find the TEFL? I've thought about it a few times but never done anything about it.

TEFL is great, very few discipline problems as the kids all want to learn. I am Course Director of a residential summer school for kids aged 8-19 from all over the world. Love the work, it's not as well paid as state school teaching but very little stress, you do need an impeccable knowledge of verb tenses though!! Much of it is grammar based and there is the pronunciation and stresses to teach.

If you're in Sussex I would be more than happy to welcome you into one of the classes next summer, then you can see for yourself what fun it is.

Sounds great... would love to come but we're miles from Sussex!

Verb tenses, one of life's great :? mysteries! I went through school when grammar wasn't taught at all. I first came across verbs and nouns at the tender age of 17, whilst studying for A-Level German and French! I'm all for this new-fangled way of teaching grammar to the littlies, but I'm still struggling with it myself. There were special
