Should be good, just remember they are not primary so have different needs, and they're on holiday so don't want to just work, make it as fun as possible. One great activity is cutting up the lyrics of Let it Be and then playing the song, then they in groups put the words in order. Fun to do because there are so many let it be's! The other good song for discussion is the Louis Armstrong one 'Wonderful world?' The one that goes I see trees of green etc. What nationality are they?

I think to teach foreign student should should have little bit information about their culture and be familiar with their language so there is no communication barrier, i think be friendly and open, give them proper time for studies and games you just need to understand their habits, Google about their native countries

Smile Brand new super shiny supply teacher..

Evening all. Just wanted to introduce myself on here. I have just finished my training and have registered with two supply agencies. Ive got my old casual student job back to fill in any gaps when Im not doing supply teaching. I havent been placed anywhere yet, apparently September is quiet.. Has it ever happened to anyone doing supply, where more than one agency contacts you at a time..do they mind if you just say sorry im already "booked" ?

Hi! Welcome to the forum!

It might be better to say you already 'have commitments that day, but that you are free on days x, y and z?' More tactful!

Good luck!

Hello

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have recently qualified and found your website while looking for advice on time fillers and any last minute lesson help I might need.

After sending 93 cover letters and CVs to the local schools I managed to get 1 day of supply last week and 2.5 days this week so Im very pleased.

Hi treepee! Welcome to the site... That's some going, 93! We don't have that many schools that I could travel to, I managed to find 13! Let us know how you get on this week...
