Default Year 1 Class in Jan 2006!

I've just been to see a lovely Head Teacher with regards to one day a week cover in a Year 1 class starting from January. No planning, no meetings, only 20 children - lurvely!

It's only one day but at least it's one day a week garunteed work and I'm hoping to get the other days booked up ASAP!

The only worry is that there is a boy who is only in the class 1 hour a day due to his agression! He must be really bad - how do I deal with him?!

Wow! What a weight off your mind that'll be.. and no planning! Can it get any better?!

That boy... gosh. Read all his records thoroughly before January, and as much as you can about his condition (if he has a label for it), find out about any support he has both in school and at home (find out about home supporting school too!) Ask if you can go and observe a

I can't really read up on his condition before January as I don't go in until the 5th!!!!

I imagine I have a TA in the morning for him although he is not statemented as of yet.

I'll try not to worry about it as it's only for an hour each day.

That's a shame, tho' I'm sure if you have a TA for him, they'll let you know all you need to at the end of the first day!

You do right not to worry... just celebrate! [smilie=ahgg_beer.gif]
