I've decided to do a Humpty Dumpty dance to some music I borrowed off my boyfriend's mum. The thing is there are about 3 hearing impaired children into the class and despite having adult support, I'm afraid I'm not being inclusive! The dance does follow a sequence of movements that the children will be able to follow even though they can't fully hear the music.

Who looks after them when you work then?

Year 6 isn't too bad. Depends completely on the school and area. If it's a good school/area then you can get away with appearing strict but fair. If it's a bad school/area then ask for support from other members of staff and find out the sanctions system as well as rewards. Any bad attitude/refusal to work or leave classroom and then you can call upon the adult support. It's when there is no-one to help you when it gets really bad and at least it's only a morning!

Don't worry, you'll be fine!

I don't habe the presence of a Year 6 teacher! They see me and think I'm a push over. Until I lose the fuffy bunny act and turn into..... the White Witch!

On a lighter note, I just taught the P.E lesson to Reception. It was great as they had those

Oh to be an infant teacher... I've been struggling with sub-ordinate clauses and long division all day, and you've been playing sleeping lions!

Not fair!

It's got to the point where i'm teaching year 3 tomorrow and am getting panicky about it! Was called the White Witch last week! Had a right go at the kid and scared him to bits! Should've turned him to stone!
