s for a very last minute (tomorrow) cover of teacher's ppa that i'm doing and i'd really like to teach the kids the song 'the 12 days of christmas' - now then . . . i'm scheduled to cover RE or music - i thought it might fit both - now its very ad-libby at the minute coz no-one has actually told me what i'm supposed to be following regarding any planning etc. . . so do you think it would be ok to do that

- and i also have a little plan (and some prepared) stuff to make little xmas decorations - could i justify this activity as RE??? Seeing as its the xmas theme just now? Oh I hate not being able to stick to plans, its all the more difficult whenits just plucked out of the air.

Any advice would be gratefully received - oh its for Year 1 by the way!!!!! 30 year 1 children, over half are EAL (English as an Additional Language) and they are ALL very lively!!!!!!!! I thought a music activity might get them engaged a bit - ho hum.

Cheers everyone.

cards now???!!!

12 days of Christmas can't really pass off as RE can it? (Don't know the origins...) Take a look at kididdles.com Christmas stuff... I've just done Jesus' Lullaby, Ring-a-Ling-a-Ling and Upon a Lowly Manger with Y3, and I'm sure Y1 could follow along too... All but Ring-a-Ling a bit more REish!

ion - maybe i'm worrying too much - i worry in case i'm supposed to be doing something all along and people are assuming i'm doing something and then in six months time i'll find out i've missed out something fundamental that i was responsible for but nobody thought to tell me about it!!! Anyway, i'll crack on and do my best -
