e me feel so much better!

I must admit, I'm dreading tomorrow a bit! I'm back with the same school tomorrow (the older children). I've just returned after a year long break from teaching & today I was asking myself, 'are you REALLY cut out for supply teaching?' Don't know the answer to that one yet but the headache I had on the way home didn't bode well!

Hi sal! First day's now over, it'll only be better from here on in! We all go home with those 'headaches', and venting on here helps.

One thing I make sure I do (easier with older ones) is to make a concerted effort to learn one name off each table, then you can refer to 'Hayley's table is being lovely and quiet, well done!'

thanks for your reply & encouragement. Just been reading the supply threads on TES - lots of talk of really bad behaviour, thin on the ground amounts of work etc. - bit depressing! Trying to feel positive about tomorrow - have done loads of prep for the lessons I know about. Hope the ones I have had info on aren't too bad or puzzling.

Will defintely let you know how tomorrow goes.

e with the behaviour management side of things because I'll be going from one class to the next. It only seems to take a small minority of children hell bent on disrupting the lesson to achieve that outcome. When I think of my own children's education it really makes my blood boil. When oh when will our government get to grips with the issue of poor behaviour in schools instead of setting endless targets? The whole thing is just swept under the carpet!
