I am planning a lesson tomorrow at a school where I have been today. The teacher says it is Forces (i assume QCA 2e) How do I

e teaching this to the littlies which are the majority of the class.
I thought I would show them pics of toys and ask them to say how they move ie push pull (Im also not sure if Y1 did any of the previous QCA stuff.)
I was then going to use toys and get them to demonstrate moving them whilst describing the movements (will write the words on the board) Is this too much for them.

Nicked a pdf from dft.gov.uk courtesy of Yahoo...

It's pictures of playground scenes etc., and the kids tick push or pull for the action.. got a lesson plan on page 1 too! You could get them doing the actions first, though not the ones involving cars! I struggle with this, can't see where the pulls are to be honest, but see what you think... could do your own sheet like it with the toys instead...

ages and less interactive. Just had some tea come back and my pc is very slow and all the saved user names have gone, spend ages remembering my passwords.

do lots of practical activities, get objects around the class, even things like lego blocks so they can see if they push it together and pull it apart, putting jumpers on etc, let them all have a go at something always helps retain the info.
