Hi luclu

It sounds like an interesting lesson but I can't envisage how you plan to organise it in terms of input and activity. Anyway, I'm sure you'll have that bit covered. Just make sure you differentiate appropriately, perhaps giving your LA/SEN more in terms of practice using those skills rather than necessarily recording. Target your HA and challenge them. Again, obvious, but...Have clear and precise objectives - and don't feel each group of children needs to achieve the same end outcome. Refer to prior learning - do you want them to use these skills in telling their own stories? - and move them on at the end - perhaps by reflecting together on what makes a good storyteller. Use AfL strategies if the children are familiar with them, but don't just use them for the sake of it! Do you have TA support? If so use it judiciously. And make sure you have an extension task to challenge any children who are ready to move on.

Anyway, I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck.

I'm not sure which age group you are teaching but could you spilt the class into mixed ability groups and give them a specific point to concentrate on? They could then go to their table with their notes and create a poster/ spidergram from which they can feed back their findings. You could have the least able in a separate group wor

with a TA if this more beneficial but I do find that the mixing the children up works well.
