Idea #1: Don't spend the whole afternoon sorting this, someone's had PPA and there should be planning in place already.
Ok. Choose a book e.g. Rosie's Walk. Read it to them, talk about it. Year 2 draw the bit they found the funniest and write a sentence about it underneath. Give Year 4 success criteria of sentences rather than 1-word labels for their maps (e.g. This is the haystack that Rosie walked around).
